The Support Rally held Saturday June 10 at 12 noon was a resounding success. With less than 3 full days notice the rally still drew several hundred Union members from IAM Local 470 and many members from Unions representing workers in other plants in the area. Also attending were members of the Community in general who support our efforts to get a fair and honorable contract from PPG for the benefit of the Union members (present and future) and the Community. With one voice, they put PPG and the other industries on notice that we expect to be treated with respect and dignity and must be negotiated with in good faith and recognized and fairly compensated for our help in creating their record profits.

Attending the rally and helping out by bringing food and water and supporting us on the picket line on a daily basis were members of the following Unions, many of whom made financial contributions to help with financial aid to Local 470 members who are suffering severe financial problems. This is just a partial list as there have been many others that have come by to support our effort.
