YOUR SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE AT WORK

Local Lodge 470  is proud to award  A  $500.00 scholarship this year. That Scholarship went to Darby Heard ,Daughter of Brother Butch Heard, An Instrument Tech. at PPG  Lake Charles   
I'm sure I speak for the members of Local 470 when I say, 
Congratulations Darby!
Our scholarship committee is second to none, they  work  hard to make these scholarships possible.  Br Charlie Ritter along with others who step in and give a helping hand, so when you see them out and about, let them know how you feel about their hard work....      

Don't forget, the youth of today is our future....!
Local Lodge 470 takes  pride in being a part of that future!

Each year Local Lodge 470 purchases a 4-H pig
 from a 4-H member from one of 5 surrounding parishes. 
This year we purchased Miss Falon Ryder's pig, 
 Falon is 16 years old and attends Oberlin High School.  
Oberlin, Louisiana, 
Allan Parish. 
The money these 4-H members receive from the sale of their pigs  
serves to help give their education Jump-StartWe would like to take this 
                        opportunity to thank Brother Lynn Gomes  for serving  Local Lodge 470  as its Purchasing Agent !
